So, I’m sitting here sobbing.

Are you surprised?

I know, I cry- a lot. But, I was just really moved.

I was listening to Lee Ann Womack’s “There is a God”, which I’ve recently found myself singing, often. Now before you click away because you hate cliche songs, sit tight.

I was listening to the song and it came to the line that says:

“Stop and think about what you don’t understand.
Things like life and love and how the world began.
Hear the doctor say he can’t explain it,
But the cancer is gone.”

Those words stopped me in my thoughts of this sweet song, and wondered how listeners would respond if the song said “Hear the doctor say he can’t explain it, but the cancer has returned.”

Would you be able to say there is a God, right after that? For most, I don’t think so.

I’ve been caught in this place lately of being discouraged when things don’t go my way. Just being vulnerable, sometimes I can be really selfish. I think we all can.

When your car breaks down.
When your marriage suffers.
When your bank account is in the negatives.
When the people you love the most aren’t Believers.
When it seems like no one cares or calls.
When you’re out of a job.
When the cancer returns.

There is a God.

There is a God.

There is a GOD!

Be careful not to let these moments in life quench your true joy of remembering that this world is not the end, that there is a future- greater than anything you imagined, ahead of you if you are His.

Galatians 6:9 “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
